JUST IN : Indiana women’s basketball loses against Minnesota, which is a setback.…

With a three-game winning streak that included some of the team’s greatest 3-point shooting of the season, Indiana women’s basketball was riding high going into Sunday’s game against Minnesota.

Teri Moren’s team appears to have lost steam after a 10-point defeat to a Gophers team that is likewise positioned in the middle of the Big Ten standings. After going 15-28 in the decisive victory over Rutgers, the Hoosiers shot just 7-22 from 3-point range. Particularly struggling was Sydney Parrish, who missed one of her six shots after scoring a season-high 22 points earlier in the week.

Indiana is now 15-8 overall and 7-5 in conference play after the defeat. This season’s five Big Ten defeats are equal to Indiana’s 2022–2024 Big Ten record. Perhaps the most distinctive aspect of Indiana going into the Minnesota game was their lack of consistency.

Following a three-game losing streak that left Indiana at.500 (4-4) in conference play, the Hoosiers brought their winning streak to the Twin Cities. In her postgame remarks, Moren did not mince words about this contradiction. “We should be able to benefit from our experience. In addition, I wish I could resolve the discrepancy and assist them by speaking to them appropriately.
