Luka Doncic, the renowned NBA player aged 24, and his fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, aged 25, are celebrating the arrival of their first child together, as revealed in a joint Instagram post on Friday.
In the heartwarming photo shared by the couple, each parent lovingly holds one of their newborn daughter’s hands, introducing her name as Gabriela.
The joyous announcement coincided with news that Doncic would be absent from Friday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies for undisclosed “personal reasons.”
Reflecting on their relationship, Goltes reminisced during an Instagram Story Q&A in March 2020, revealing they first crossed paths at the Croatian seaside at the age of 12. She fondly noted that their circle of friends remains unchanged since that time.
After seven years of courtship, Doncic proposed to Goltes on July 7, 2023, a date possibly symbolic of his jersey number, 77. The picturesque proposal took place at Lake Bled in Slovenia, with Doncic captioning their engagement announcement on Instagram with a simple yet heartfelt message: “💍❤️ 7.7.”
