Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker has officially become a father for the second time, though the announcement didn’t come directly from him. During a press conference following the Suns’ recent practice, head coach Mike Budenholzer unintentionally let the news slip while praising Booker’s commitment to the team amidst personal milestones.
“We’re all so proud of Devin,” Budenholzer said. “Not only is he performing at an elite level, but he just welcomed his second child into the world. That kind of focus is incredible.”
The room fell silent before reporters quickly sought clarification. Budenholzer, realizing his slip, smiled and added, “Well, I guess it’s out there now. Congratulations to him and his family.”
Though Booker has yet to make an official statement, sources close to the star confirmed the birth. Booker’s partner, whose identity he has kept private, reportedly gave birth earlier this week in Phoenix. The couple already shares a toddler, and their growing family has been a source of joy for the star guard.
