Travis Kelce breaks touchdown record as Kansas City Chiefs beat Pittsburgh Steelers to clinch No 1 seed

With a 29-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, the Kansas City Chiefs secured the top seed in the AFC for the fourth time in seven seasons behind 320 yards and three scores from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The Steelers (10-6), who have lost three straight games as their hopes of winning the AFC North suffered another hit, never threatened the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, who jumped out to an early 13-point lead. Even though defensive end Chris Jones, a perennial All-Pro, was sidelined due to a calf injury, Kansas City’s defense handled the majority of the scoring, with Mahomes connecting on first-half score passes to Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson.
