Carolina Hurricanes’ Jack Drury Successfully Undergoes Hand Surgery, Announces Return Date

Carolina Hurricanes forward Jack Drury has officially announced his return to action following a successful hand surgery. The 24-year-old was sidelined after sustaining the injury during a game earlier this season, leaving fans and teammates concerned about his availability.

“I’m feeling great now,” Drury said in a press conference. “The surgery went as planned, and the recovery process has been smooth. I’m excited to get back on the ice and help the team.”

Drury, known for his tenacity and two-way play, has been an integral part of the Hurricanes’ lineup. His absence was felt on both ends of the ice, as the team navigated a challenging stretch without him. However, Drury reassured fans that his return is imminent.

“The doctors have cleared me for a full return after the holiday break,” Drury announced. “I’ll be back in the lineup for our game on January 3rd.”

Teammates and coaches have expressed excitement about his comeback. Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour noted, “Jack brings a lot of energy and versatility to our team. We’ve missed him, and it’ll be great to have him back.”

As Drury prepares to rejoin the team, he’s been ramping up his conditioning and participating in non-contact practices. His focus now is on regaining his rhythm and contributing to the Hurricanes’ playoff push.

“I’m ready to give it my all,” Drury said. “The support from the team and fans has been incredible, and I can’t wait to be back out there.”
