ASU QB in worst form of his career as he receives encourage from coach Dillingham

Arizona State University quarterback Drew Pyne has hit the roughest patch of his career, struggling to find form during a critical point of the season. With accuracy issues, turnovers, and a noticeable decline in confidence, his recent performances have raised concerns among ASU fans and analysts. Despite the growing pressure, one figure has remained unwavering in his support — ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham.

Coach Dillingham has stepped forward, offering not only tactical guidance but also personal encouragement. “I’ve seen what Drew is capable of. He’s a fighter, and we’ve been through ups and downs before. This is just another challenge to overcome,” Dillingham said during a press conference. He emphasized that a player’s performance on the field is only part of their growth and that Pyne has the work ethic to bounce back.

Pyne, who transferred from Notre Dame with high expectations, has been struggling to adapt to the Sun Devils’ offensive system, which demands a quick release and strong decision-making under pressure. His slow adjustment has been evident in recent games, where his mistakes have cost the team vital possessions. Nevertheless, Dillingham is adamant that the young quarterback has the mental fortitude to turn things around.

“This is when character shows,” Dillingham added. “When things are tough, that’s when you see who someone really is. I believe in Drew, and I believe he’s going to come through for this team.”

Pyne has expressed gratitude for his coach’s support, admitting, “It’s been a tough stretch, but having a coach who believes in me makes all the difference. I know I can do better, and I’m working every day to get there.”

With Dillingham’s backing and Pyne’s determination to improve, the Sun Devils remain hopeful that their quarterback will regain his confidence and lead them to success once again.
