The Los Angeles Chargers have signed kicker Cameron Dicker to a four-year contract extension valued at $22.04 million

Kicker Cameron Dicker has agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to a source who informed The Associated Press on Friday.

The deal is reportedly worth $22.04 million, with $12.5 million guaranteed, as per the source who requested anonymity since the terms have not been officially released. ESPN was the first to report the contract details.

Since joining the Chargers midway through the 2022 season, Dicker has successfully made 50 of 53 field goal attempts.

Including the two field goals he scored earlier that season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Dicker’s field goal accuracy of 94.5% (52 out of 55) is the highest in NFL history for any kicker with at least 50 attempts. He has also converted all 59 of his extra-point tries.

In the preseason, Dicker was perfect on all six of his field goals, including a 58-yarder against Seattle on August 10, which would have been the second-longest in franchise history had it occurred in a regular-season game. He also nailed a 55-yard field goal the following week against the Los Angeles Rams.

Dicker is the only active kicker with at least 40 attempts to have made all his field goals from 50 yards or less (45 out of 45). The next closest is Baltimore’s Justin Tucker, who boasts a 95.5% accuracy rate (337 out of 353).

The Chargers will kick off the season under their new head coach, Jim Harbaugh, on September 8 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
