For the second consecutive year, the Los Angeles Rams are among the youngest teams in the NFL. Following major roster overhauls in the past two offseasons, the team has moved on from notable veterans like Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, and Bobby Wagner, embracing a new wave of talent. According to Spotrac, the Rams are currently the third-youngest team in the league, with an average player age of 25.7 years on their 53-man roster. Last year, they were the second-youngest, with the Green Bay Packers being the youngest. Only four players on the roster are over 29, including the oldest, quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is 36, along with Rob Havenstein at 32, and Darious Williams and Cooper Kupp, both 31. Most of the team consists of players aged 29 or younger.
A significant factor in the Rams’ youthful average is the presence of 15 rookies, including nine drafted players, five undrafted free agents, and one player claimed off waivers. This continues a trend from last year when all 14 drafted rookies made the team. The Rams are focusing on building a competitive team for both the present and future seasons.
