Despite being rivals in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey have teamed up for a new Lowe’s commercial.
In the ad, McCaffrey attempts to ask a Lowe’s employee for a lawnmower, only to be repeatedly interrupted by Kelce, who continuously revs a power drill. The two football stars appear in blue and red jerseys featuring the store’s logo throughout the skit.
Debuting Friday in People Magazine, the ad campaign features several prominent football players promoting Lowe’s rewards program and same-day delivery service. The campaign includes both 15-second and 30-second TV spots that will air during the 2024 NFL season, beginning Monday, September 2, according to People.
Texas fans will quickly recognize Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud in the commercials. Sports broadcaster Scott Hanson also appears, sitting at an anchor desk next to three Lowe’s employees praising the company’s services.
“Lowe’s knows it’s easier to make the right calls when you have the right team,” Hanson says.
