Michigan Wolverines’ offensive coordinator, Sherrone Moore, recently opened up about the special bond he shares with running back Jake Carum. The duo has developed a unique connection, both on and off the field, that has played a significant role in the Wolverines’ offensive success.
“Jake is more than just a player to me,” Moore began, reflecting on their relationship. “From the first day I met him, there was something special about his work ethic and attitude. He’s always the first one on the field and the last one off, and that’s something you don’t see every day.”
Moore, who has been instrumental in shaping Michigan’s dynamic offense, praised Carum’s dedication and character. “We have this unspoken understanding,” Moore continued. “Jake knows exactly what I’m thinking, and I can sense what he needs. That kind of connection isn’t built overnight.”
Carum, in turn, spoke about how much Moore’s mentorship has meant to him. “Coach Moore is like a big brother to me,” Carum shared. “He pushes me to be better every day, not just as a player, but as a person. I wouldn’t be where I am without him.”
As the Wolverines prepare for another challenging season, the bond between Moore and Carum is expected to be a driving force behind the team’s success. “We’re in this together,” Moore concluded. “And with Jake leading the charge on the field, I know we’re going to achieve great things.”
