Dodgers star admits falling out with manager, wants an exit

Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder, Carlos Martínez, has admitted to a falling out with manager Dave Roberts, which has led him to consider leaving the team. The rift reportedly began over disagreements on Martínez’s role within the team and playing time, creating tension between the two.

During a recent interview, Martínez did not hold back his frustration. “I’ve given everything to this team, but it feels like my efforts aren’t being valued,” he said, shaking his head. “I respect Dave, but we don’t see eye to eye on how I should be utilized. It’s tough when you know you can contribute more, but you’re not given the chance.”

Sources close to the team say the tension has been building for weeks, with Martínez growing increasingly vocal about his dissatisfaction. “He’s been frustrated for a while now,” a teammate, who requested anonymity, shared. “He feels like he’s in his prime and wants to be on the field every day, but that’s just not happening.”

Roberts addressed the situation in a post-game press conference, downplaying the conflict but acknowledging the tension. “Carlos is a great player, and we’ve had our differences. But at the end of the day, we both want what’s best for the team,” Roberts stated. “We’re working through it.”

Despite Roberts’ comments, Martínez’s tone suggested the relationship might be beyond repair. “I need to be somewhere where I’m truly appreciated,” Martínez concluded. “Maybe it’s time to move on.”

The Dodgers organization has yet to make an official statement, but trade rumors are already swirling as the season continues.
