Another Trois-Rivieres Lions player makes it to the NHL

Former Lions de Trois-Rivières forward Pierrick Dubé was called up to the NHL’s Washington Capitals yesterday, becoming the third player from the Lions organization to make it to the NHL.

In the 2021-22 season, forward Cam Hillis appeared in one game for the Montreal Canadiens. The following season, former Lions goaltender Artur Silovs played five games with the Vancouver Canucks. Silovs had been with the Lions during their inaugural 2021-22 season.

Dubé, who had a productive stint with the Lions, playing 19 games (10 in the 2021-22 season and nine in the 2022-23 season), accumulated 18 points, including 10 goals. Before his promotion, he was the leading goal scorer for the Bears this season.
