Brisbane Broncos denies rumours of Kevin Walters’ potential exit, pledges support for the 56-year old

The Brisbane Broncos have firmly dismissed speculation about the potential exit of head coach Kevin Walters, affirming their unwavering support for the 56-year-old leader. Recent rumors suggested Walters might be on his way out due to the team’s inconsistent performance, but the club’s management has put those whispers to rest.

In a press conference held on Monday, Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy addressed the swirling rumors head-on. “Kevin is our coach, and we have full confidence in his abilities to lead this team,” Donaghy stated emphatically. “We understand the nature of speculation in sports, but let me be clear – Kevin has our complete backing.”

Walters, who has been at the helm since 2021, has faced his share of challenges, but he remains optimistic about the team’s future. “Every club goes through tough times,” Walters said. “But I’ve seen the hard work our boys put in day in and day out, and I believe in what we’re building here.”

Star player Payne Haas also voiced his support for Walters, emphasizing the positive impact the coach has had on the team. “Kevvie’s been great for us,” Haas remarked. “He’s brought a lot of passion and knowledge, and we’re all behind him 100 percent. We know we can turn things around with him leading us.”

Despite a mixed season, the Broncos’ management and players are unified in their commitment to Walters and their shared goal of returning to premiership contention. As the season progresses, the Broncos are determined to prove their doubters wrong and demonstrate that Kevin Walters is the right man to guide them to future success.
