2026 four-star CB Jason Bradford opens up about Texas Tech offer, reveals his next plans

Texas Tech hosted several recruits for a pool party on Saturday, and one of the top prospects in attendance received a scholarship offer from Red Raider head coach Joey McGuire. Before he could even dip a toe in the water, 2026 four-star cornerback Jason Bradford was greeted by McGuire with the offer.

“Coach McGuire gave me the offer as we arrived at the swimming pool,” Bradford said. “I was grateful when I got the offer because I never take anything like this for granted.”

Saturday marked Bradford’s first visit to Texas Tech, and he mentioned that the Red Raiders have been recruiting him for about three months.

Besides the offer and the pool, Bradford particularly enjoyed “eating the food for sure.”

Standing at 6-foot-2.5 and weighing 195 pounds, Bradford recorded 28 tackles, two stops for loss, six pass breakups, and an interception as a sophomore at Temple (TX). He also participates in basketball and track.

“I’m a patient DB who brings energy and confidence,” Bradford said about his playing style. “I’m also physical.”

According to 247Sports, the four-star recruit is ranked as the No. 240 player nationally, the No. 19 cornerback in the country, and the No. 31 prospect in Texas for the 2026 class. Alongside Texas Tech, Bradford has offers from Arizona State, Houston, Oklahoma State, Texas State, and Vanderbilt. He is also hearing from Kansas State, Oklahoma, TCU, and Washington.

When asked what he’s looking for in a college football program, Bradford said, “Treating me like family, be open with me, don’t sugarcoat anything, and just treat me with respect.”

Though competition for Bradford is fierce, the Red Raiders made a strong impression, and he plans to visit again for a game or two this season.

“Yessir, absolutely (I’ll visit for a Texas Tech game),” Bradford said. “The Colorado game for sure and maybe the first game.”
